Local businesses have logged over 1,000 miles to raise money for Wisdom Hospice as part of the Medway Can campaign!
The ‘Medway Can 500 Challenge’ saw five businesses receive an exercise bike to reach a 500 mile target collectively, to help fundraise for the hospice whilst keeping staff healthy.
Their hard work smashed the 500 mile target by more than double, with a total 1,163 miles travelled.
Wisdom Hospice will now receive a £500 donation from the Medway Can campaign and an additional £400 was raised by the businesses themselves, giving a grand total of £900 collectively!
These donations could help fund 36 hours of compassionate care from one of the hospice’s amazing nurses.
Martyn Reeves, Chief Executive for The Friends of the Wisdom Hospice, said:
“Well done everyone. This is incredible. Thank you all so much for you efforts – it means so much!”
A huge thank you to all the businesses who got involved below and a special mention to MHS homes who travelled the most miles with a 526 miles.
Bridgewood Manor Hotel came a very close second with 517 miles logged.
Thanks to the other businesses who did exceptionally well with smaller teams: MCH House, Wisdom Hospice and Moto Services
Wisdom Hospice provides specialist palliative services to those within their care, supporting them on their journey whether that be in their home, on their internal ward or within hospital.
