Medway Can Box and Move!

Medway learns how to box!

Medway has been getting fit recently with free boxing classes hosted by The Paramount Foundation. Instructors provided a fun and safe environment to try out the sport, giving attendants instruction on boxing and general exercise tips in order to keep fit and healthy. Classes have been hosted in Gillingham, Allhallows and Strood.

The classes have been growing in popularity as an organized way to keep fit and try a new sport, especially after their recent Sticks and Stones taster session event.

Classes are being held every Wednesday and are open for anyone to attend.  Any equipment necessary is provided and anyone of any experience level is welcome.

Why not cycle?

In tandem with this, The Paramount Foundation have been working hard on their Twilight Gears project, an initiative aiming to get more bikes into the community. Volunteers at their community shed work to recycle bikes that would otherwise be scrapped and get them back into ship shape before they’ve gifted to individuals and families.

The bikes are hoped to get less people on the roads and to provide easy transport to those who need it.
